PERSONNEL

All Wisma Bahasa instructors are experienced native speaker teachers of Indonesian as a foreign language. They hold degrees from reputable universities and have a teaching qualification. We possess different educational backgrounds (language and language teaching, Indonesian and English literature, politics, social sciences, economics, anthropology, laws, engineering, etc.) and also different cultural backgrounds (Javanese, Betawi, Sundanese, Timorese, Timor Leste, and Flores). The rationale behind the mix is to expose students to different fields of expertise, idiolects, as well as dialects of bahasa Indonesia. Although the instructors will teach primarily through the medium of Indonesian, all are fluent speakers of English and understand the types of difficulties experienced by adult second language students.
