instructors are experienced native speaker teachers
of Indonesian as a foreign language. They hold degrees
from reputable universities (Sanata Dharma University,
Gadjah Mada University, IndonesiaUniversity, Yogyakarta
University, and National University) and have a teaching
qualification.We possess different educational backgrounds
(language and languageteaching, Indonesian and English
literature, politics, social sciences, economics, anthropology,
laws, engineering, etc.) and also different cultural
backgrounds (Javanese, Betawi, Sundanese, Timorese,
East Timorese). The rationale behind the mix is to expose
students to different fields of expertise, idiolects,
as well as dialects of Bahasa IndonesiaAlthough the
instructors will teach primarily through the medium
of Indonesian, all are fluent speakers of English and
understand the types of difficulties experienced by
adult second language students.
